Effective September 1, 2026, pharmacists can use the new statewide order and the Department of Health (NMDOH) recommendations to provide 2026–2027 COVID-19 vaccines. The state preserved broad access, including vaccination of healthy individuals ages 2–64 years who request protection, and the pharmacist protocol recognizes NMDOH and several professional organizations as competent guideline authorities.
