HB 5375 was passed by the Legislature this week and is expected to be signed into law by Gov. Ned Lamont (D). The legislation, which has been an NACDS priority for the 2026 session, prohibits an insurance carrier from denying pharmacy reimbursement based solely on a provider’s license type for any “covered clinical service” that falls within a pharmacist’s scope and is otherwise eligible for reimbursement when performed by a physician, physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse.
