Both Houses of the legislature passed SB 399 that authorizes a pharmacist to order, test, screen, and treat certain health conditions pursuant to a statewide written protocol for CLIA waived tests approved by the Division of Public Health. This legislation is pending Governor Carney’s (D) signature.

The rule would make technical revisions. A hearing is scheduled for Dec. 1, 2021, in Dover.

On July 13 Governor John Carney (D) ended the state Public Health Emergency and all Executive Orders.  On July 12, the Governor issued a new Executive Order authorizing pharmacists, pharmacy technicians and interns to administer COVID testing and vaccinations.
