NACDS urged the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) to adopt the federal Pharmaceutical Hazardous Waste Rule (the Rule) as part of its next regulatory update for rules needed to implement the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA). The adoption of the Federal Rule allows retailers to operate within a sector‐specific set of requirements which creates a level playing field.
