Gov. Pete Ricketts (R) signed into law LB 931 limiting opioid prescriptions to individuals under nineteen years of age to seven days, effective Wednesday, July 4 (three months after being signed). The law also requires patients receiving dispensed opioids to show identification if the patient is not personally and positively known to the pharmacist or dispensing practitioner.
